The Bird War has unusual alliances.
While typically it’s a matter of simply us versus them, a Ukrainian owl recently decided to protect its homeland … by taking out a Russian drone flying overhead. Fortunately for us, it was caught on video.
The video, shared by the Ukrainian Telegram channel, captures the bird abruptly changing its flight path, approaching the Russian drone midair, and hitting it with its wings. Moments later, the drone crashes to the ground while the owl flies away unharmed.
While this particular bird behaved admirably, don’t let your guard down. They still hate humans overall.
