Wilhelm Grimm, one half of the “Brothers Grimm,” was born on this date in 1786 — that’s 240 years ago. And while Wilhelm (and his brother Jacob) didn’t actually create most of the fairy tales we know and love, he did compile and edit them into “Grimm’s Fairytales,” which are just kind of darker versions of Disney stories we’re familiar with — Snow White, Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, etc.

I’ve been a fan of the Brothers Grimm since … high school? I used to read the stories in actual books … then I used to listen to them while at the gym back in the early 00’s. And now I spend some of my spare time narrating my own versions for Stop Book & Listen.

But for today, I did a Life Story about Wilhelm. Give it a listen, won’t you?
