While scrolling through a series of posts on Threads tonight asking for “a random fact about yourself that sounds fake but is 100% true,” I noted with interest a post saying that this person had a “Kevin Bacon Rating of 4.” It made me wonder.
See, in 2013, I was an extra in a Lloyd Kaufman movie, “Return to Nukem High Vol. 1.” And I figured that with all the movies Lloyd Kaufman had made (and been in) over the years, he had to have a fairly low degrees of separation from Kevin Bacon. So mine would be whatever his was … plus one (obviously).
Now Lloyd Kaufman has 460 film credits to his name. And Bacon has been in 113. So it isn’t so outrageous that I’d assume they’d have a low score. A little bit of digging told me that in 2010, Kaufman made a cameo in “Super,” starring … Kevin Bacon. So Kaufman’s “score” is ONE. And that makes mine TWO!
Worth noting, Stan Lee was also in “Return to Nukem High Vol. 1.” And considering the number of Marvel movies that Lee made cameos in, that means, I have just two degrees to most of the cast of the Marvel movies.
Lastly, Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead fame was also “Return to Nukem High Vol. 1.”
