Edgar Allan Poe’s “Never Bet the Devil Your Head” is essentially a morbid cautionary tale about why you shouldn’t overuse a catchphrase … and why you shouldn’t make bets with the devil.

Poe has an odd sense of humor but this one had me straight up laughing as I narrated it. It reminded me of Mark Twain, to be honest — at least at the beginning.
