A Grown-Up Guide to Dinosaurs by Ben Garrod

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I didn’t realize this was a podcast when I started listening to it. And I’m glad I didn’t … because I wouldn’t have listened to it.

But it was highly entertaining and filled with facts I didn’t know, which is always my goal when listening to non-fiction.

Ben Garrod, the author and narrator did a great job of moving the story along from one scientific point to another. One interesting point as an American is that there were several British pronunciations that took some getting used to, “methane” being a prime example that comes to mind.

My only qualm is the very end. I’m getting a bit tired of every science-y book I read ending with “but if we don’t stop damaging the planet, we’re all going to die.” I feel like those of us who believe in climate change don’t need to be reminded and those who don’t, won’t listen anyway. So at this point, it’s just trite.
