During the peak of the pandemic, an abandoned magpie — later named Molly — was adopted by a dog named Peggy, who nursed the magpie back to heath, even going so far as to produce milk for the bird.

According to their owners, “these two are like mother and daughter / best friends who are just so close . They love to sun bake , play ball or generally just hang out in the backyard watching the world go by.”

So a year later, Peggy gave birth to a litter of five doggos. And the family decided to keep one of them, Ruby. Now the three of them are like peas in a pod — albeit very differently shaped peas.
