“Azathoth” is the beginning of a never-completed novel written by H. P. Lovecraft in June 1922. It was published as a fragment in the journal Leaves in 1938, after Lovecraft’s death. It follows a disillusioned man who escapes the grim reality of his modern city by projecting his consciousness into the night sky. The narrative describes his astral journey across the cosmos, leaving the physical world behind to explore boundless, dream-like realms hidden among the stars.
