NATO fighter jets stationed at the Lielvarde base in Latvia were alerted to an unauthorized intrusion into Latvian airspace coming from Russian-adherent Belarus. Sukhoi Su-27s or 35s? Mig 31s? Iranian drones? Or a new super secret aircraft unknown to the rest of the world?
Actually, it was a large flock of migratory birds, which are common in the region during this time of year as they fly south for the winter. Precisely what type of bird was either not discerned or the information was not released to the public, possibly due to further bird-related threats.
Stay vigilant people. There is no aspect of human civilization that birds won’t attempt to ruin — even a war.
